My story

My story

Amai has signature ears—one droopy, one upright—along with a petite frame and flowing long fur that makes her look like she stepped out of a comic book. She was once adopted from a pet shop window adoption event, but within just a few months, her owner abandoned her, and she was found wandering alone in a park. A kind passerby brought her to the Wugu Animal Shelter.

In February 2025, PACK Academy evaluators brought Amai back to the organization. With her beautiful appearance, intelligence, and friendly nature, we believe she’s sure to find the right forever home!

However, we also discovered that Amai has a sensitive and delicate heart. She needs a guardian who can set clear boundaries—otherwise, she’ll find clever ways to express her own demands! Amai is currently seeking a suitable foster family to help her learn how to live in a home. She needs someone experienced with dogs and firm with boundaries—otherwise, this smart girl might end up running the show!

Amai

Personality

Amai is a smart and energetic explorer. Her curiosity runs high, and she picks up commands incredibly quickly—like she’s got a little supercomputer in her head.

Beneath her independent exterior, though, she longs for security and stability, and thus becomes especially attached to calm, emotionally steady people who give her a sense of safety.

She is always friendly and enthusiastic with other dogs, often wagging her tail and initiating greetings. However, with strangers, she is more cautious and needs time to observe and warm up.

Amai has sharp senses and is highly attuned to changes in her environment. Despite her boldness in exploration, she is emotionally sensitive and enjoys expressing her thoughts and feelings—she’s full of personality and loves to communicate!

My Behavior

My Behavior

Amai loves to test human boundaries, often using subtle behaviors to see how much she can get away with. She’s especially drawn to emotionally stable people—this sense of calm gives her reassurance. She instinctively keeps her distance from people who are erratic or inconsistent, but becomes surprisingly obedient with those who are principled and consistent in their communication. Amai has a unique way of showing affection—sometimes she’ll gently nibble your hands or clothes as a way of cuddling. But if she starts scheming to challenge your authority, you might find her sneakily nipping at your heels!
