My story

My story

In the end of September 2022, Dobby was brought back from Xindian Animal Shelter by the evaluator of PACK Taiwan. He is still young, but his left hind leg had a severe impact that caused comminuted fracture. During the recovery, stimulated by the bone nail and the crooked bones, the inflammation couldn’t heal for a long time. Thanks to the efforts of PACK Taiwan and Xiandian Animal Shelter, he is fully recovered now. At first he could only walk by jumping, now all his legs can land well and run at full speed! Dobby has an introverted personality and it takes some time for him to warm up. After knowing you well, he becomes a lively little boy who loves to play, which is really lovely!

Dobby

Personality

Dobby needs some time to adapt the environment. Due to insufficient socialization and injury during his childhood, he tends to observe from a distance when meeting new things, will only walk around comfortably after ensuring everything is safe. Although he is a bit shy, he will not flee in a panic. Strangers can easily approach Dobby and touch him, after a few touches, he will comfily lie down!

Foster Family Says

Walking position is different due to his leg injury, other dogs might feel weird and be mean to him. He is smart and holds grudges, when scolded by us, he tend to pee at places with our smell, like the closet or bed. Need some more toilet trainings.

Medical History

My health has been checked:

  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Microchipped
  • Vaccinated
  • Regular Worming Treatment

Dobby’s left hind leg once suffered from severe bone fracture, it is now healed but he walks with a limp.
My Behavior

My Behavior

Treat reaction is okay, fast learner for commands. Maybe due to his leg conditions, need some time for him to digest and prepare after the command, becaue he needs to move to one side before sitting down. Easy to guide by leash, but he will ignore other dog’s warning and sometimes trigger conflict when he sees food. Very quiet, barely barks, when he knows you well, he will become an active boy. Likes to lie on the floor to play with people.

My Behavior
