My story
Dracula is a yellow Shiba Inu rescued from the Keelung Animal Shelter. After he went missing and was brought to the shelter, a kind neighbor recognized him on social media, only to discover that his owner had decided to abandon him after years of neighborly care. The neighbor tried finding him a home, and eventually reached out to PACK Taiwan for help. With an amazingly youthful face and vibrant energy, Dracula shows no sign of age, remaining exceptionally friendly toward both humans and dogs. He settled into his foster home almost instantly in just 1–2 days. Currently undergoing heartworm treatment, he is doing very well and only needs controlled energy levels. This warm-hearted gentleman is eager for a forever home that will treasure him endlessly!
Personality
Dracula possesses an "ISFJ Guardian" personality—focused, passionate, and highly expressive. He balances calm composure with playful energy effortlessly. Highly food-motivated, treats are the ultimate key to his heart and training success. Dracula loves being the center of attention, showing off and snuggling up for cuddles with youthful enthusiasm. Amusingly, he gets a bit boastful when backed by humans, sometimes gently nipping or bossing other dogs around to show he's the favorite, though completely without aggression or intent to harm. Highly observant, he adjusts his behavior according to human responses. With his attentive yet flexible nature, Dracula is a charming companion who offers endless love to those who care for him.

Dracula is wonderfully easy to care for! He is incredibly affectionate and adores pets and cuddles from humans. When left at home, he remains completely calm, unbothered, and independent without any fussing, making him an absolute delight to live with.

Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Extremely friendly and welcoming, eagerly engaging with strangers for attention and affection.
Dogs
Friendly with dogs and loves play. May show off near humans, requiring mild redirection.
Cats
Not yet evaluated. Careful observation and control are recommended during initial introductions.
Kids
Very gentle and patient, interacting wonderfully with children under proper adult supervision.
Noise
Completely unbothered by household or street noises, demonstrating excellent emotional stability.
Touch
Loves physical contact, craving petting, hugs, and warm squeezes from humans.

Behavior observations
There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.
Barking
Very quiet, rarely barking and maintaining a peaceful presence at home.

Shows no signs of separation anxiety and rests comfortably when alone.

Completely non-aggressive toward both humans and other dogs, demonstrating a gentle demeanor.
Resource Guarding
Shows no resource guarding over food, toys, or prized possessions.

Minimal chewing tendencies; easily managed by providing suitable chew toys.

Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
