Jyaiko
Adopt Fish
Girl • 9 years old • Virgo • Brindle • 20kg • Mixed Breed
My story
In November 2024, Fish joined PACK Academy. Before that, she spent several years at Ruifang and Sanzhi Animal Shelters, waiting for a suitable family but never finding one. Perhaps it was due to her age or her rugged appearance. When the PACK first met Fish, they were drawn to her goofy expression and enthusiastic energy. During the evaluation, they noticed her friendly and well-balanced temperament—she gets along well with both humans and other dogs. Fish has a stocky yet compact build, making her an easy companion for walks. She stays attentive to her owner, making communication smooth. She is also highly perceptive and quick to read situations. Come meet this wonderful pup!

Personality
Upon first meeting Fish, many feel she looks familiar—she resembles Jyaiko, the sister of Gian (from Doraemon). However, unlike Jyaiko’s quiet and sensitive nature, Fish is an energetic and sociable dog. She quickly bonds with both people and other dogs, making her an ideal companion for any household. She can be both active and calm. When invited to play, she is full of excitement, but she can also settle down when asked. Another great trait—Fish is independent! She is comfortable being alone and does not experience anxiety or excessive dependence on her owner, making her an easygoing companion.
1
Energy Levels
Generally calm but gets excited when playing. Can settle down when reminded.
2
Temperament
Initially shy in new environments but warms up quickly, especially if other dogs are around.
3
Role
Observes human reactions and tends to repeat behaviors that get the most attention. She may try to control situations by seeking treats through obedience.
4
Adaptability
Needs some time to adjust to new environments, but adapts quickly with other dogs present.
Foster Family Says
Fish wants to follow people when they leave but will settle down when told. She gets more energetic during walks but can be a bit clumsy. She is calm overall but may chew things if left alone for too long—chew toys are a must! When asked to shake hands, she does it but with a reluctant expression.

My Behavior
1
Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Observes strangers before interacting. Slightly uncomfortable with head and belly touches from unfamiliar people but fine with other areas.
Dogs
Very friendly with other dogs and integrates into groups quickly.
Cats
Neutral reaction toward cats.
Kids
Just like strangers. Before interacting, slightly uncomfortable with head and belly touches from unfamiliar people but fine with other areas.
Noise
Unaffected by general household noise.
Touch
Familiar people can touch her freely, but she is slightly resistant to strangers touching her head or belly.
2
