My story

My story

Koka is a handsome one-year-old boy from the Xindian Shelter. With sleek grey fur, alert upright ears, and a distinctive white patch on his chest, his agile frame and witty expression make him look just like a real-life "Stitch." He officially joined PACK Academy in December 2025, beginning his journey to find a forever home. Despite suspected abandonment, Koka remains full of curiosity and enthusiasm for people, having developed keen observation skills. He is exceptionally friendly toward both humans and dogs, acting as a social butterfly at the park. Future admirers should note that this "Stitch" is highly food-motivated and might occasionally try to snatch a snack from his neighbors. Koka loves jumping up to show affection and is highly tolerant of physical handling. This spirited and slightly mischievous boy is ready to bring his boundless energy to a forever home that enjoys active adventures.

Koka

Personality

Koka possesses a soul as clever and spirited as Stitch—intelligent, playful, and exceptionally good at communicating his needs. He is a dog with strong opinions and a quick wit, often observing human reactions to decide his next move. A true socialite, he becomes extra outgoing in the company of other dogs, showcasing his boundless energy. However, he also has a "tricky" side; he might engage in a bit of mischief like a playful alien sprite when he thinks no one is looking, and intentionally run away to be chased when corrected, simply to get more attention. He is smart enough to avoid danger and unfriendly individuals, displaying great social intelligence. To Koka, life is a grand adventure, and he is eager to find an owner who can engage him in both mental and physical challenges.

My Behavior

My Behavior

Koka is a bundle of energy, especially when anticipating meals or walks, but he responds well to redirection. His intense food motivation makes training a breeze, as treats are an irresistible incentive. He excels at commands like "Sit" and "Stay," but "Come" highlights his clever nature, he often evaluates the intent behind the call before choosing to respond. While he initially showed resource guarding, this has improved significantly; he now allows people to handle his bowl during meals. On walks, he may pull the leash initially out of excitement but corrects easily. It’s important to ensure his energy is spent; otherwise, he may chew on objects to relieve stress or gain attention. Regular exercise and chew toys are highly recommended.
