My story

My story

The reason he is called Malau (Peanut Rice Crispy) is that his chubby, brindle body looks exactly like one when he's lying on the floor. But he wasn't always this plump! When we found him at NanZhuang Old Street, he was in a pitiful state. Dragging a front leg injured by a wild boar, he was terribly thin, and his right eye seemed to be injured and blind. Surprisingly, Malau is super friendly and enthusiastic! He was taken in by PACK in 2023 December. Since his injured leg healed poorly while he was a stray, even a slight touch made him scream.  For his long-term well-being, Malau underwent an amputation surgery, which was very successful. Now he can fully enjoy being petted!

Malau

Personality

Malau is enthusiastic, a foodie, sometimes a bit mischievous, loves to be hugged, enjoys acting cute - he is literally a lazy giant baby! No matter who you are, he will snuggle into your arms until he falls asleep, shamelessly showing his belly. Perhaps because of his weight, he tires quickly after playing a while and turns into rest mode (or too lazy to move mode). He’s a comical and easy-to-care-for dog!

My Behavior

My Behavior

Malau is good at reading non-verbal cues. Without treats, he will slow down the reaction to your commands and think for a long time, trying to play silly to test your tolerance level. However, he will worship you like a god if you have treats in your hand.
