Our timid little mimosa
Adopt Mandy
Girl • 1 year old • Aries • Golden Yellow • 9kg • Mixed Breed
My story
Mandy arrived at Pack Sanctuary from the Xindian animal shelter this October. Despite being bar ely a year old, she has already been adopted once. Her previous owner was impatient, and gave h er up because she wasn’t fully potty trained. He returned her to the shelter after just three days. Even though it was bad luck that Mandy got an unreliable first owner, the record made finding h er a second home difficult. The evaluators at Pack Sanctuary believe that Mandy’s miniature si ze and friendly nature makes her a diamond in the rough, and with the proper training, she can b ecome an obedient and wonderful pet. Mandy is doing her best to accimilate herself with life in t he city, and we hope that she can find a loving home as soon as possible.

Personality
Mandy is normally very active, but she gets nervous around strangers and seeks comfort from fami liar humans or other dogs. She loves frolicking, and is both curious and wary around new things; t hough she accepts almost anything once she knows it’s safe. Mandy also loves playing with othe r dogs, and can get a bit too excited. New environments are something she finds harder to deal wit h, and can take some time to get used to.
1
Energy Levels
Lively and peppy. Inquisitive and cautious.
2
Temperament
Mandy can be hesitant around unfamiliar things, but she easily accepts it once she familiarizes her self with it, though it will take time.
3
Role
Mandy gets nervous easily, but can be calmed by hugs, baths, and a manicure.
4
Adaptability
Getting used to new things will take time, especially sounds, which can frighten Mandy and make her want to hide.
Foster Family Says
Even though she is still easily spooked and will hide in the corner when frightened, she is getting bolder. She is especially eager when going on walks, and you can loosen the leash after a while. St aying close to the pedestrian walk can also help soothe her. However, she forgets most things the n ext time, and will need to be taught again. She play-bows whenever you take out your phone to tak e a picture of her, and it’s super adorable!
Medical History
My health has been checked:

My Behavior
1
Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Mandy is timid around strangers.
Dogs
Mandy takes the initiative when greeting other dogs, and will even invite them to play, but she can get overly enthusiastic and make the others aggressive towards her.
Cats
Mandy is curious but placid around cats, and they get along quite well.
Kids
Mandy prefers children that are quiet and gentle.
Noise
Mandy is sensitive to noises, and new sounds can make her nervous. Getting used to it will take he
r a longer period of time.
Touch
Mandy loves being pet by familiar people. Her big ears are super soft!
2
