My story

My story

PACK’s evaluators first met Milu at the Sanzhi animal shelter in July 2024. Compared withother dogs, Milu seemed to have had previous experience being cared for. He was particularly good at making eye contact with people – calm and not overly excited but appearing to like people and happy around them. Initially, we thought Milu was a shy, introverted dog. However, after enrolling in  PACK Academy, he became familiar with his surroundings and the people around him. Milu turned out to be very affectionate and playful. It turns out he’s just a little slow to warm up, but once he does, he’s a charming little guy who surprises everyone! We noticed that Milu is cautious in unfamiliar environments, but after a few days, he becomes more relaxed and starts to enjoy playing. Although Milu looks tough and strong, he actually acts like a sweet, innocent child once you get to know him!

Milu

Personality

Milu is polite and well-mannered. His favorite activities are going for walks and eating – he’s quite the foodie! He may not have had much socialization with the human world, so he’s a bit cautious in new places or around unfamiliar things. However, Milu is very receptive to new experiences and learns quickly!

Energy Levels

At home, Milu mostly likes to rest, only getting excited when it’s time to eat or go for a walk.

Foster Family Says

Milu is an incredibly gentle dog. When he first arrived, he was shy and seemed uninterested in both people and other dogs. But now, he’s much more comfortable and loves being petted by us. He enjoys playing with our dog too, and even though our dog wasn’t very friendly to Milu at first, Milu quickly accepted the pecking order and avoided conflicts.

Medical History

My health has been checked:

  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Microchipped
  • Vaccinated
  • Regular Worming Treatment

Milu has no known health issues.
My Behavior

My Behavior

Milu is quiet and well-behaved at home. He doesn’t bark and is easy to care for. He does have a chewing instinct, but he understands what’s okay to chew on and what’s not. You can provide him with durable chew toys or treats to satisfy this need. Milu is currently being trained to avoid going potty indoors. On his first day at the foster home, he had an accident, but by the second day, he learned to go potty outside. With more walks and a consistent routine, he’s already made great progress!

My Behavior

1

Tolerance Levels

At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.

5

Dogs

Behavior observations

There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.

If you’re eating something and don’t share, Milu will bark once to let you know he’s aware and would like some too.

No signs of separation anxiety have been observed.

0
