My story

My story

In June 2025, Normy earned his place at PACK Academy after passing his evaluation with ease. Calm, trusting, and emotionally stable, he stood out right away — not as a fighter, but as a quiet survivor.

Normy came to PACK from the Neihu Animal Shelter. Once nicknamed “Sticky Rice Sausage” because of his long, slim body, his life changed forever when a trap took his right hind leg. But if you expect a broken spirit, prepare to be wrong. Normy adapted. He grew stronger through his front legs, steadier in his steps, and somehow… gentler in his heart.

Behind his “gentle alpha” look is a truly tender soul. In training, he became increasingly affectionate, always careful not to overwhelm — a polite gentleman asking for love without demanding it. He is the kind of dog who walks beside you, not ahead of you.

Normy is a perfect match for families with children or elderly members, and he lives peacefully among other dogs. He is not just waiting for a home — he is waiting for his people.

Normy

Personality

If dogs had personality types, Normy would be an “INTP with a heart.” He is thoughtful, tuned into his surroundings, and naturally protective of the people he trusts.

Outdoors, he’s your loyal bodyguard, quietly scanning for potential danger. At home, he transforms into a soft, affectionate companion who enjoys closeness, gentle touch, and attention. He will ask for what he wants — but he never insists. A simple response, whether “yes” or “no,” puts his heart at ease.

He is the kind of dog who respects boundaries, yet loves deeply.

1

Energy Levels

Normy has a low and steady energy level. He is calm most of the time and only seeks attention when he has a request. As long as the owner responds, whether accepting or refusing, he can accept it and remain calm.

RELAXED ACTIVE

2

Temperament

Normy is an outgoing dog who will actively socialize with both strangers and other dogs, though he is slightly reserved in his demeanor. When encountering more strangers, he becomes more outgoing and active.

SHY SOCIAL

3

Role

He will proactively make requests but does not insist on the outcome; acceptance or refusal is fine, but a response is needed. He is protective and will guard people if he perceives a threat until the threat is gone.

FOLLOWER LEADER

4

Adaptability

Normy has excellent adaptability and can quickly adjust to new environments and stimuli. His calm personality allows him to maintain a high degree of stability and security when facing environmental changes.

  • Vaccinated

My Behavior

My Behavior

Normy is a wonderful walking companion and does not pull on the leash. He absolutely loves treats, which makes them the perfect training motivation. Because he has three legs, he performs some commands in his own unique way - for example, when asked to "sit," he usually lies down first and then moves into a sitting position. Stil, he is very willing follow human guidance. In the car, he tends to drool a lot, but his behavior remains calm - he usually just lies down quietly with no panic or vomiting. He needs to be watched around cats, as he may become excited and try to chase stray cats he sees outside. At home, Normy is very quiet. He shows no signs of separation anxiety, aggression, resource guarding, or destructive behavior. He is not bothered by noise and absolutely loves physical affection and cuddles.

My Behavior

1

Tolerance Levels

At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.

Strangers

Engages actively with strangers but is slightly reserved in his demeanor.

5

Dogs

Engages actively with other dogs and gets along peacefully with them.

5

Cats

Very interested in cats. He sometimes barks when he sees a cat in the distance, and gets excited and tries to rush towards stray cats on the street, so extra caution is needed.

Kids

Suitable for companionship with children.

5

Noise

Not sensitive to noise.

5
