My story
Ouou is a charming and lovable dog with a warm, gentle personality. He has a keen sense of observation and knows just the right amount of affection to show, never overwhelming anyone. When he makes a mistake, his innocent, downcast eyes leave you both frustrated and heartbroken. Ouou used to wander the streets of Tainan and was often seen visiting a PX Mart, where the staff grew very fond of him. One day, they noticed he had an injured paw. The employees came together, raised money for his neutering, vaccinations, and paw treatment. They also found him a temporary foster home, so he no longer had to roam the streets. Eventually, they reached out to PACK Taiwan, hoping to find Ouou the perfect forever home. In May 2024, Ouou joined PACK Academy and has been doing exceptionally well. If you're considering adoption, come meet him—Ouou might just be the family member you've been destined to have!

Personality
Ouou is a very loving and loyal dog! His world revolves around showering affection on the person in front of him, trying hard to understand their feelings and earn their approval. Because of this, Ouou is great at picking up on cues and even knows when he's being scolded. Even if he makes a mistake, he quickly corrects it—he’s a dog with high expectations of himself.Ouou follows his favorite person around, like a young boy experiencing his first crush, always keeping an eye on their movements without being intrusive. He’s shy about expressing his needs and rarely seeks attention on his own. However, when it comes to other dogs, Ouou tends to be more of a loner, often distancing himself or showing resistance toward canine groups. It's important to be mindful of his emotional state when he's around other dogs.
1
Energy Levels
Ouou is generally calm, but he gets especially excited when he senses an opportunity to be affectionate and receive pets!
2
Temperament
When he first arrives in a new environment, he tends to be a bit shy out of fear of making mistakes. However, once he's familiar with his surroundings, he becomes very enthusiastic whenever he sees people.
3
Role
From a human perspective, Ouou is sensitive to making mistakes, constantly reading the room and following cues. This makes him more of a follower. But when it comes to other dogs, Ouou largely ignores them and doesn’t engage much.
4
Adaptability
Despite being cautious in his behavior, Ouou quickly adapts to his environment and adjusts his habits accordingly.
Foster Family Says
With a strong sense of intuition, Ouou seems to pick up on the tone and emotions of his owner. He’s a protective dog with a slight tendency toward insecurity, reacting even to subtle sounds or movements. Ouou is incredibly observant of people, and once he becomes more comfortable, his sense of security will grow even stronger.
Medical History
My health has been checked:
- Spayed/Neutered
- Microchipped
- Vaccinated
- Regular Worming Treatment
Ouou has no specific medical issues.
My Behavior
1
Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Ouou goes crazy for affection from strangers, eagerly seeking out pets.
Dogs
He shows little interest in other dogs, but if he lives in a group with them, you’ll need to keep an eye on him. If another dog takes over his resting space, Ouou may become aggressive.
Cats
He also has a tendency to chase cats, though this can be controlled with proper training.
Kids
Ouou hasn’t yet had interactions with children.
Noise
He is sensitive to thunder and tends to hide when he hears it.
Touch
Ouou absolutely loves being touched, especially by strangers, and it brings him extra joy when they give him attention.
2
Behavior observations
There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.
Barking
It has been observed that Ouou tends to bark when he gets excited.
Separation Anxiety
So far, no signs of separation anxiety have been noticed.
Aggression
However, the presence of unfamiliar dogs in his environment may trigger defensive behaviors, and he could act aggressively toward both people and other dogs in such situations.
Resource Guarding
Ouou does not display food or resource guarding behaviors.
Destructive Chewing
Additionally, there has been no observed tendency for him to destroy objects.
3
Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
