My story

My story

Sherry is a black Poodle as gentle as water. In September 2025, she was admitted to the Xinwu Shelter after being rescued through emergency dispatch in the Longtan District, suspected of having survived a traumatic traffic accident or severe injury. Despite surviving this difficult ordeal, Sherry has never lost her passion for life and deep trust in humans. She was later welcomed by PACK Academy to start her new journey, where she took just one day to fully adapt to her new environment, demonstrating incredible resilience and stability. This "Gentle Little Lamb" is wonderfully friendly with humans and other dogs, showing absolute patience toward cats, children, and strangers alike. She is eagerly searching for a forever family willing to embrace her medical needs and surround her with love and care for her remaining years.

Sherry

Personality

Sherry possesses the charming and balanced personality of a mature companion. Gentle and calm, she still maintains a wonderfully active and lively spirit despite her senior age. Most of the time, she is quiet and well-behaved, but when mealtime approaches, her inner puppy emerges as she barks happily and waits obediently. Sherry is an absolute cuddlebug who holds deep trust in humans, craving physical touch and warm embraces. In social settings, she is neither a dominant leader nor a passive follower; instead, she maintains a beautifully balanced, mature presence. Highly motivated by food and treats, she is always eager to engage with her humans for a tasty reward.

Foster Family Says

Sherry is a sweet angel—quiet, affectionate, and loves to snuggle. Although she has no teeth and her eyes need follow-up care, her gentle soul and unconditional trust will absolutely melt your heart. She is the perfect companion for any loving family!

Medical History

My health has been checked:

  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Microchipped
  • Vaccinated
  • Regular Worming Treatment

Prone to skin allergies and mild fungal infections; currently on a prescription diet for skin health. Following an examination by a veterinary ophthalmologist, it was found that the right eye has a hypermature cataract (almost no vision, with only a slight response to light),while the left eye has an immature cataract. This is being actively managed with eye drops and regular follow-up visits.
My Behavior

My Behavior

Sherry's behavior during her transition has been wonderful. She rarely barks without reason, only voicing her excitement happily before meals. While she previously had minor indoor potty accidents when unable to hold it, this issue has been successfully resolved. On walks, she enjoys exploring at her own pace but responds beautifully to gentle leash guidance without hard pulling. She is still learning basic obedience commands like "Sit," "Down," and "Stay. Her intense love for treats makes her highly trainable, offering a wonderful opportunity to build a close bond through positive reinforcement.
