My story
“How come there is such an adorable puppy in our office? and sleeping like he owns this place?” the rescuer exclaimed when she walked into the office and saw Thor slumbering in a belly-up. After months of searching for the owner, it was of no avail. Without a permanent home, what awaited Thor after being neutered was the road of coldness and loneliness. The rescuer couldn’t bear such a notion and decided to contact PACK for further assistance. Thor triumphantly passed the preliminary assessment and, in this July, officially made into PACK Academy. As a puppy, Thor in no question needs far more commitment and quality time, but Thor will certainly not take them for granted. So, if you’re truly fond of Thor, get yourself fully ready!

Personality
Thor is young, outgoing, and confident, allowing him to go for and eventually overcome different challenges. Thor enjoys get petted and rubbed so much that he even jumps up on people out of impulse. Considering that Thor will grow bigger in size, PACK staff has been training Thor not to do this potentially injurious behavior, so people, especially kids and the elderly, don’t have to worry about being knocked down when playing with Thor. Fortunately, Thor is good at catching commands and guidance. You can tell that by the thriving passion beamed out from his eyes! In short, Thor is a quick learner, who is brilliant and responsive.

My Behavior
1
Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Thor shows no fear toward strangers.
Dogs
When overexcited, Thor might accidentally provoke other dogs and then, get threatened.
Cats
Thor shows only a bit of curiosity towards cats but no attempt to chase after.
Kids
Thor remains as friendly to kids as to anyone!
Noise
All kinds of noises could be alarming at first, but Thor can quickly tolerate and ignore them.
Touch
Thor loves getting petted. Once it starts, he will ask for more. Even belly rubs are welcomed.

Behavior observations
There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.
Barking
Thor might bark a few times when he is in a crate, waiting for a walk or a rub; yet it can be stopped through command.
Separation Anxiety
It usually takes 3~5 mins for Thor to lie down and rest.
Aggression
No sign of aggression.
Resource Guarding
No sign of resource guarding on items or food.
Destructive Chewing
Thor hasn't broken things, but he needs toys to satisfy his gnawing urge.
3
Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
