Long-Legged Little Prince
Adopt Zaizai
Boy • 1 year old • Pisces • Black • 17kg • Mixed Breed
My story
Zaizai is an introverted but inwardly affectionate black dog. Abandoned in a Kaohsiung community at about two or three months old, he was collectively raised by kind-hearted residents. As he grew larger and exhibited puppy destructive behaviors like chewing slippers, his original rescuer (who is also a PACK adopter) fostered him and contacted PACK to help find him a forever home. Zaizai is sensitive and easily feels overwhelmed in new environments. However, he just needs a little time to adapt. He usually shows affection after about five days and fully integrates into family life within a month. Zaizai is great at staying alone, quiet, and perfectly house-trained. He even actively invites other dogs to play. He is ideal for a quiet household with few people, where he can relax at his own pace without receiving excessive attention.

Personality
Zaizai has the personality traits of an "INFP Mediator." He is introverted, delicate, and deeply sensitive. He is a classic "slow-warmer," easily feeling lost or even freezing up out of nervousness when facing unfamiliar things. However, once he trusts you and becomes familiar, he reveals a highly passionate side and will proactively express his needs. Zaizai is relatively passive and very good at reading the room. Although he is highly food-motivated, he remains cautious even when treats are involved. While initially shy and easily startled by everything, he has made great progress and now actively explores his environment and socializes. With enough security and patience, this little prince with long, elegant legs will shed his shy shell and become a thoughtful, deeply connected perfect companion.

My Behavior
1
Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Now more proactive in approaching strangers and exploring. Although cautious initially, his adaptability has improved, and he willingly interacts once comfortable.
Dogs
Keeps his distance from unfamiliar dogs at first. Once familiar, he actively invites them to play, showing great friendliness and enthusiasm toward his peers.
Cats
There are currently no observation records regarding his interactions with cats; his reaction is unknown.
Kids
There are currently no observation records regarding his interactions with children; his reaction is unknown.
Noise
Zaizai adapts well to various noises. Even when facing loud sounds, he remains quite stable and will not panic or become severely frightened.
Touch
Although he may dodge hugs when unfamiliar, Zaizai actually loves physical contact and being petted once trust is established.
2
Behavior observations
There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.
Barking
Zaizai is usually very quiet and rarely barks. He occasionally barks to express his needs only when he strongly wants to go out.
Separation Anxiety
No symptoms of separation anxiety observed. Zaizai is highly independent and can stay calm alone without any issues.
Aggression
Absolutely no aggression. Even when scared or dodging touches, he will never lose his temper or show aggressive behavior towards people.
Resource Guarding
No resource guarding behavior at all. Even though he is highly food-motivated, he remains stable around food and toys.
Destructive Chewing
Although he chewed slippers as a puppy, no destructive behaviors are currently observed, and he behaves very well overall.
3
Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
