My story
2015/10/27 PACK rescue team found a litter of puppies more dead than alive trapped in a drain pipe. Hence Charm was brought to PACK with his brothers and sisters. Growing up in PACK, Charm has never lived in a family home. However he has always been enthusiastic around his caregivers and obedient as well. Thus we decided to give Charm a chance to enroll in PACK Academy. Now he has completed the first half of the Academy, and is ready to join a foster home! Would you wait for him to complete his journey in PACK Academy and make him a part of your family?
Personality
Charm is affectionate, and loves interacting with people. He is always energetic and lively, and always smiles at you! Once he gets familiar with you, you’ll find him following you everywhere. Even when he’s just lying next to you, the focus of his eyes will always stick to you. You simply mean the world to him! Being a timid and sensitive boy who is easy to get nervous and never exposed to a busy environment before, it takes longer for Charm to adapt to a new environment, so you might need to be a bit patient with him. In fact, it took him more than a week to gradually settle into his foster home. His foster mom said that it really gives her a sense of accomplishment when Charm finally started to wag his tail and smile at her!

Charm has high environmental sensitivity and is easy to get nervous. It takes Charm about 1 week to adapt to a new environment.

Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Charm is a bit shy but still friendly when meeting new people.
Dogs
Charm doesn’t show much interest in other dogs. Usually keeps a low profile.
Cats
He doesn’t show much interest in cats as long as they don’t take the initiative to approach.
Kids
Doesn’t react much to kids.
Noise
Sensitive to sound & easily frightened when he’s out, but calmer at home.

Behavior observations
There are some common behavior issues that we see in dogs who have spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. We assess our dogs for these behaviors and provide training plans for adopters to help manage them.

Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
