My name is Flora.
When you first see me, please forgive my little temper.

I have long black fur that might make me look strong and imposing, like a sturdy horse. But inside, I’m far more delicate and sensitive than I appear. “Shy” and “not very friendly” are often the first impressions people have of me—not because I’m putting on airs, but simply because this is how I was born.

When unfamiliar scents or sounds draw near, my body tenses, my ears flatten, and I retreat into a corner, turning myself into an observer, watching this noisy world from a distance.

But in my world, there is one exception. A warm, steady presence who gives me a sense of safety, like the earth beneath my feet. His name is Yong An—the light brown ray of light in my black world.

We came to PACK together when we were young and grew up side by side. More than eight years have passed, and the bond between us is deep and inseparable. He is a large, light-brown dog with a calm nature, always gentle and kind. As long as Yong An is within my sight, I can stay at ease.

I never rush to the front to dig or charge ahead. I’m timid. I’m the “commander” who stays just behind him. While Yong An plays with full force, I quietly scan our surroundings, fully alert. When I notice loose soil or something stirring, I give a tiny signal sound—one that only he understands.

“Yong An, take me there.”

That is our language of love. Yong An carries all the responsibility and danger, while I am his closest and most trusted little strategist. If I were human, I’d be the kind of girl who wouldn’t order for herself, but would gently tug his sleeve and whisper, “Can you get that for me?”

We are one. Just as PACK is to me, and Yong An is to me—we are meant to never be apart.
