The sensible big guy
Adopt Heido
Boy • 2 years old • Aquarius • Black • 18kg • Mixed Breed
My story
Heido has a thrilling experience. In fall of 2022, he was rescued in the suburb of Taitung mountain area. He was dragged, bleeding, and his butt was full of bite marks. Locals reported that he was attacked by wild boars. Fortunately, he was friendly to humans and accepted the treatment. He is now living in the foster home, learning practices in home environments and keeps progressing!

Personality
Heido likes to be around humans and can get close to people quickly. However, it takes a while for him to warm up to other dogs. When meeting other dogs for the first time, he easily gets into alert mode.
1
Energy Levels
Quite peaceful in general, but he will lose his control when seeing food or ready to go out.
2
Temperament
Get along with strangers well, but have the potential to fight with dogs that he's unfamiliar with.
3
Role
Heido is a follower with his own thoughts. He listens to others, but has his own thoughts occasionally. Should be no big deal as long as you communicate clearly with him.
4
Adaptability
High adaptability to humans but not to dogs. When other dogs are around, he will stay in alert mode for a few days, and even bark at them.
Foster Family Says
Heido likes to be touched! When you touch his head, he will close his eyes and enjoy it. He also put his head under people’s hands or arms to show affection.
Medical History
My health has been checked:
- Spayed/Neutered
- Microchipped
- Vaccinated
- Regular Worming Treatment
All his injured areas are recovered, currently he has no medical issues.
My Behavior
1
Tolerance Levels
At PACK Academy, we socialize our dogs by exposing them to different stimuli and recording their tolerance levels for each one. These oservations help us understand the dogs better, which then helps us find suitable homes for them.
Strangers
Willing to interact with strangers as long as there are no big moves.
Dogs
Snarl to other dogs, takes around 3 days to adapt them.
Cats
No reaction to cats.
Kids
Just as willing to interact with children as with strangers!
Noise
Afraid of people speaking loud or throwing things.
Touch
He likes to be touched!
2
Behavior observations

Might bark when meeting dogs that he’s unfamiliar with.
Separation Anxiety
Not observing separation anxiety.
Aggression
Not aggressive at all.
Resource Guarding
Slightly protects his food, especially when other dogs are approaching.
Destructive Chewing
Never break anything before.
3
Obedience Training
Obedience training is critical for nurturing healthy dog-human relationships and having a well-behaving dog. Our dogs receive basic training at PACK Academy, which provides a foundation for communication between dog and human.
