My story

My story

PACK Academy works with New Taipei City Animal Shelter to assess improper feeding environment and bring back 7 dogs. Luby is one of them. Growing up in improper environments, Luby doesn’t know how to get along with human and dogs, so she is very sensitive and shy. Our keepers and volunteers patiently help Luby get socialized, but she still often huddles in the cornet and doesn’t dare to move. Thus, PACK Academy Team decides to put Luby into a foster family after assessment to help with her desensitization and become used to live with family members. The team wishes to get this curious and shy little baby out to explore more about this world.

Luby

Personality

Luby is a cautious puppy. When people want to interact with her, she stays and observes from the far side first until she makes sure everything is safe and begins to get a little bit closer. Though easily gotten scared by sound and movement, she is brave enough to walk on leash. The shy, cautious and timid Luby needs a patient family.

She follows behind when people are vacuuming.

Low High
Foster Family Says

  • Microchipped

My Behavior

My Behavior

Luby gets scared more easily when she is out. She jumps or flees when meeting large cars, motocycles, passerbys getting near to her, and falling leaves. She is scared by various sounds at home, such as the sound of people’s coughing, sneezing, pulling paper towel, or chairs. However, she gets used to most of the sound after hearing it more. She was scared to bark during midnight when she heard snoring for the first time, but got used to it after hearing it 1-2 times. She is still making progress.
