Adopt Sweet
Girl • 5 years old • Taurus • Black • 5kg • Mixed Breed
My story
In June 2022, PACK Acaemy cooperated with New Taipei City Animal Shelter and went to places to evaluate either they were suitable enviorments for dogs or not. We rescuded seven dogs from this mission and Sweet is one of them. Since Sweet was growing up in a not ideally envirment and she became very senstive and shy. She doesn’t know how to be around with people and also with other dogs. Despite of how ptience the caretakers and volunteers trying to teach her how to socialize with the others. We find her often will curle up in the corners and not moving a muscle. After evaluation by PACK Academy, we decided to send her to a foster home. That way Sweet would be able to leanr how to get comfortable around people and not to be sensitive to her surroundings. Hopefully one day she will be able to walk out from her corners bravely and not to be sacared to the world any more.

Personality
Very Shy, nervous and timid. Will be startled by litte noise and also big movements. Prefers to stay in dark corners. Shows intereste to snacks.
1
Energy Levels
At the Academy, she showed excitments to snacks. But when she was too scared of something then she would have no reaction at all. At the moment with foster home, she shows more interests to go out for walks.
2
Temperament
Very timid. If you encourage her on the walk, she will walk with leash.
3
Role
She will satys by your side on the walks most of the time.
4
Adaptability
Takes time for her to settle. She spends most of the time either on her bed or in the corners. Occasionally comes out to explore a bit in foster home.
Foster Family Says
When Sweet arrives in a new enviroment, she would stay in corners for quite a while. She would find all kinds of dark corners in the house and hide. It is almost like she was playing hide and seek. Since she needs time to get used to new things, when you pet her at the beginning, she shivers and her tail would be in between her legs. But once when she is used to you she would let you pet her naturally, as long as your actions remaining calm. We even found out that she quite enjoys to be pettede. Because of her timid nature, drinking water and feeding meals reqire patience and your accompany. When take her out for a walk, needs to hold her up and bring her to outside first. As time goes on, we thingk that Sweet would want to come up and to get closed to you.
Eventhough she doesn’t get used to a new family soon enough and reqires more time to communicate and accompany her. Sweet doesn’t fuss or yap. She is only a super shy dog who is seeking for love.
