My story

My story

Xiaomi’s life has been a journey of resilience. In March 2025, she was found wandering the streets after a car accident and was taken to a shelter. Unfortunately, her previous owner chose not to continue caring for her, leaving this gentle girl to wait for a new beginning. In January 2026, an evaluator discovered her at the Neihu Animal Shelter. Despite the heartbreak of abandonment, Xiao Mi never lost her faith in the world. Now, she is ready to leave the past behind. With her soft, creamy-red coat and unwavering trust in people, she is searching for a forever home that will never let her go again.

Xiaomi

Personality

Xiaomi is a girl with "social superpowers." She is incredibly friendly to both people and other dogs, approaching everyone with passion. What makes her truly special is her ability to balance that enthusiasm—she is affectionate without being overwhelming. Like a devoted little companion, she stays gently by your side, offering quiet presence. At 7 years old, Xiao Mi remains curious and lively while possessing the maturity and emotional stability of an adult dog. She is highly intuitive; she will wait patiently when you are busy and offer a warm nuzzle when you need comfort. She is a perfect companion with high social and emotional intelligence.

My Behavior

My Behavior

Xiaomi excels during walks, maintaining a loose leash without rushing. Indoors, she is mostly quiet; although she occasionally shows mild separation anxiety for attention, her behavior is generally gentle. Notably, Xiao Mi has her own preferences regarding grooming. If her fur knots are pulled, she may show protective sensitivity or "grumpy" behavior due to discomfort. We recommend gentle, frequent brushing sessions using treats to distract her and ensure a positive experience. Aside from grooming specifics, her interactions with other dogs and strangers are exemplary.
